la rosacée lymphoœdémateuse est une affection cutanée peu commune caractérisée par un oedème dur et non percutant limité au front, à la glabelle, aux paupières supérieures, au nez et aux joues. cette affection est aussi connue sous le nom de lymphoœdème rosacé, d'œdème persistant de la rosacée, d'œdème érythémateux supérieur chronique et de la maladie de morbihan. sa relation avec d'autres formes de rosacée n'est pas claire. il est toutefois clair que le problème survient lorsque l'inflammation faciale chronique de bas grade dépasse la capacité du système lymphatique de drainer normalement le liquide tissulaire.

Lymphoedematous rosacea is an uncommon cutaneous condition characterized by a hard, non-pitting oedema restricted to the forehead, glabella, upper eyelids, nose, and cheeks. This condition is also known as rosaceous lymphoedema, persistent oedema of rosacea, chronic upper facial erythematous oedema and Morbihan disease. Its relationship to other forms of rosacea is unclear. It is however clear that the problem arises when chronic low grade facial inflammation overwhelms the capacity of the lymphatic system to drain tissue fluid normally. The oedema typically worsens slowly over months to years and may pose a significant management problem.
