Eosinophilic pustular folliculitis (EPF) arising in the setting of HIV/AIDS or other cause of immunosuppression. In contrast to classical adult EPF it tends to be highly pruritic and is more likely to affect other areas than the face. It may paradoxically appear or worsen after initiation of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) and accompany the immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS). |
